The pilgrimage to the Christ Child

Tourism and pilgrimage
Since the post office discovered the advertising effectiveness of Christkindl and set up a Christmas post office every year, many visitors come again (already in the years 1705/1706 up to a thousand people came to this place on some days).
The post office and the church live side by side in a good neighborhood, the interests are naturally different.
Here they sell stamps and postmarks, there they try to tell the many visitors about the original meaning of the pilgrimage and perhaps turn an ordinary excursion into such a pilgrimage: I mean going to Christkindl in the belief that one can be helped, and taking time to find a little peace and reflection, and then perhaps leaving again comforted.
May Christkindl bring about a deepening of life for all - visitors and locals alike - and may a new form of pilgrimage to Christkindl emerge through the return to the sources. With this wish I would like to welcome you to Christkindl.
