Bei herrlichem Herbstwetter machten sich etwa 80 Frauen und Männer auf den Weg, um von Obertraun - entlang der Traun - nach Bad Aussee zu pilgern, wo sich im Kurpark die Altausseer-Traun und die Grundlsee-Traun treffen und in der Koppentraun weiterfließen. Aus Roitham sind 13 Personen mit dem Zug (ab Gmunden mit Einfach-Raus-Ticket) angereist, wo wir auf Pater Johannes trafen, der ebenfalls teilgenommen hat. Das gemeinsame Gehen – mit dem Pilgerstab voran – bewegt sowohl den Körper, als auch den Geist.
Das kirchliche Projekt „Wasserpilgern“ wurde und wird von Teresa Kaineder (Diözese Linz) für „salzkammergut 2024“ geleitet und organisiert. In 5 einzelnen Tagesetappen wurde die Strecke von Lambach bis Bad Aussee (im Zeitraum von 1 ½ Jahren) entlang der Traun „begangen“, um schon im Vorfeld der Europäischen Kulturhauptstadt mit Menschen aus den teilnehmenden Pfarren ins Gespräch zu kommen und den Weg kennenzulernen. Der Pilgersegen und spirituelle Impulse von katholischen oder evangelischen Pfarrmitarbeiter:innen an der Traun waren genauso bereichernd wie die verschiedenen musikalischen Darbietungen der örtlichen Musiker. Unterwegs oder am Ende des Pilgerweges wurden wir mehrmals mit kulinarischen Angeboten (durch ehrenamtliche Mitarbeiterinnen im Pfarrheim) verwöhnt. Es war eine Freude, immer wieder bereits bekannte Gesichter zu sehen und auch neuen Leuten zu begegnen oder alte Bekannte zufällig zu treffen. Die wunderschöne Gegend am Wasser lädt auch ein, innezuhalten und zu staunen. Dankbar blicken wir auf diese 5 Etappen zurück.
Im nächsten Jahr wird das WASSERPILGERN zwischen Roitham am Traunfall und Bad Aussee angeboten, wobei nähere Informationen auf der Homepage der Diözese Linz oder Bad Ischl (unter „Wasserpilgern“) zu finden sein werden.
