Three perspectives focussing on the Priesterseminarskirche and the Priesterseminarskapelle
The combination of the three disciplines of theology, philosophy and art history in close interdisciplinary exchange is a unique feature of our university in the German-speaking realm. Together with our ERASMUS Incomings as well as our regular students we would like to illustrate how fruitful interdisciplinary work can be by organising an evening together. We will look at the two sacred spaces of the seminary from three perspectives. Based on initial statements from theological, philosophical and arthistorical point of view, we will jointly discuss the following questions: What theological concepts gave rise to these spaces? How does philosophy look at spaces of the quest for meaning and transcendence? What artistic aspects support the liturgical and secular functions of these spaces?
We cordially invite all students and especially all Incomings to this interdisciplinary exchange on Thursday, 12 January 2022.
